Clean bill of health for Celtic
Bloemfontein Celtic have a clean bill of health as they conclude preparations for their Absa Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs at the Molemela Stadium on Wednesday.
There are no major injuries in the squad, said officials on Tuesday, but coach Luc Eymael will again not be able to take his place on the bench as his dispute with former employers Polokwane City has not yet been resolved.
Eymael has been denied registration with the Premier Soccer League since signing for Celtic and had to watch his new club’s last four matches from the stands. His dispute with Polokwane City was supposed to be resolved by the PSL on Monday but is now likely extended for at least another week, officials added.
Polokwane City want compensation of R2,8-million after Eymael abruptly quit them to join Celtic last month.
Celtic are on a five-match unbeaten run and up to 11th place in the Absa Premiership standings, even though they are just three points above the drop zone.
