Teenager Frosler hailed by Hunt
Gavin Hunt hailed the performance of teenager Reeve Frosler after Wednesday’s Absa Premiership clash with Cape Town City which ended in a 1-1 draw and kept his side in the hunt for the title.
“The youngster should never have played this season but he has had five or six matches on the bounce now,” said Hunt of the right back who has been drafted in to take the place of Nazeer Allie, who has a broken toe and is unlikely to complete the season.
“We had five development players out there which is great for us. (Frosler) has been magnificent, he’s played Champions League against Al Ahli but he is still a kid. It’s because of our (injury) situation.
“He’s done well. In the first half (against Cape Town City) he got a bit of a roasting but in the second half he was a lot better.”
The 19-year-old, also named in the preliminary squad for South Africa’s team who go to U-20 World Cup in South Korea in just over a month’s time, has started four Absa Premiership matches since his debut against Chippa United last month.
